Longer Days and Shorter Nights

Here's a new end of the year loop/jam featuring a Hamer Talladega earthen-top guitar.

Happy Holidays everybody.

Jalopy

a little laid back groovin' and psuedo lap-steel sliding with an Eastwood H44 reissue.

Deep Blue

This was a little loop jam I recorded to show off a prototype of the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay pedal.

3 Monkeys - Orangutan amp clip

I recently got a chance to check out the new 3-Monkeys Orangutan head. It is a single channel, 4 x 6v6 head with reverb. I was playing my tele direct through the head and into a v30 loaded 1x12. The amp is available from Destroy All Guitars.

a walk in the woods

strolling through Muir Woods and picking on a Lentz, Croyden.

The Avengers (main theme)

I always loved the show the Avengers so I thought I'd have a go at the theme.

Egnater Rebel - tele try out

A minute with some low-volume tones from the Egnater Rebel head. (signal chain) tele -> Egnater Rebel -> Bogner cube (V30)

Croyden Call

a little rhythm loop and jam with a Lentz, Croyden guitar.

One More Red Nightmare

This is a sketch of a solo baritone arrangement of the King Crimson tune, "One More Red Nightmare." I'm using the onboard effects from a Roland bass cube as well as a Subdecay, Prometheus for the SFH type sounds.

Peter and the Kaossilator

I brought in my Grosh Baritone and a Korg kaossilator with a Roland bass cube to work one day to see if I could get any customers to jam. Father Peter was definately the star of the day.

Tunnel Jam

Here's a little jam session in a pedestrian tunnel in Golden Gate park, (gotta love that reverb!) I'm using a Lovepedal 1/2 watt classic amp that runs on two 9volts. The amp is plugged into a 1x10 cab loaded with a Weber blue-pup. I'm also using a bjf compressor and the bjf Sea Blue Eq pedals

Lucy

Here's a test run of an arrangement I worked up of the Beatle's classic, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".

Between my tele and a Princeton reverb I used BJFE Pine Green Comp and Mini Vibe pedals along with a Lovepedal Super 6 and a Maxon AD-900 delay.

"the Streetbeater" - theme from Sanford and Son

I always loved this T.V. theme by Quincy Jones as a kid. I remember seeing Tony Wilson playing a funk/fusion version at a keg party back in school and later found myself working out my own take one quiet night while living in Shanghai in the mid 90's. Playing this tune was a real turning point for me in how I approach combining rhythm and lead playing.

Go! (the Rathaus boogie)

"Coup du Jour"

(aka "waiter there's a fly in my revolution")

Here's a quick jam over a loop with my tele with a little iMovie visual effect abuse thrown in for good fun.

gear:   GVCG tele ->Lovepedal Balance and COT50 ->Valveboy tube od->t.c. dual para eq ->maxon AD-900 delay ->Akai Headrush-2 (for looping)  -> 1966 Princeton reverb.
